I've seen so many players that weren't all they were cracked up to be or they leave us when their just getting in stride. I see the question not as whether Barron is great or good but is it worth giving up our 1st + another round that might give us a Gates or Dielman. Scouting is done so you don't have to give up picks but gain a few if possible. I would rather trade down and get better odds than trade up and have all my eggs in a basket that might get a tear in training camp. If you had to ask yourself barron, or Harrison, Wagner and a trumaine Johnson which would you do?

@ Russellgrant; I'd welcome Barron or Harrison it's all a question on who was the better aquisition Bigby Atari or Jarret Johnson. The better fit is for the questionable players spot to be filled. The thing I like most in a safety is Football IQ and sure handed tackling. I even like the thought of trading down to get a late 1st and two 2nds if it will fill our defense better. That would give us 3 defensive players before round 3 where James or Hillman might be. There are some solid 2nd rounders that might produce as well as any highly sot after 1st. And we need solid play at a few defensive positions. I'd like our defense to be alot better in other words. Then 4- 7 we can play with OT,G or OLB.

@RussellGrant I have to agree with you Russell. I think Chargers should just stay put and see who is available. I can't see giving up picks to try to get a guy that will probably be gone anyway. I want Melvin Ingram or Nick Perry.
