How Will Chargers do in Primetime?

Why is it that the Chargers aren’t mentioned very much on the sports networks? Doesn’t seem like they get much love by any of the sports media outlets. Remember when you would never see the Chargers on Monday Night Football?

I was watching Inside The NFL last year and Cris Collinsworth sighed, somewhat in dismay and said “the Chargers are a perennial playoff favorite.”

He stopped short there but I know what he was thinking. They’re favorites but they always fall short.

Yeah Cris, we know. We, in our own collective sigh, know.

The 2012 NFL season schedule is out. We already knew the whos, now we know the whens. Looks like the Chargers are getting lots of love this year, at least by the broadcast networks.

Five, count ‘em, five primetime games featuring our beloved yet beleagured bolts. 2 Sunday night games, 2 Monday night games and 1 Thursday night game. (Every team gets a Thursday night game this year.)

Even though the media tends to ignore the Chargers, the networks know they draw a large national audience. All I can say is don’t be fumbling snaps on a game winning drive. The whole world will be watching.

How do you think the Chargers will do in the national spotlight?

I expect us to do well and believe we will get flexed into another Sunday night game, probably Pittsburgh!
On another note, after a majority of the faiders fans lambasted Ernie and myself the other day and proving us right, one told me the our beloved Bolts are irrelevant to the NFL, well we have 5 and they have 2. Nuff Said!

wasnt that a blast!!!! hahahahaha.. DANG RAIDER FANS!

The better the team we play on big nights the better the Chargers play. They tend to play down to their competitions level. I like the Raiders in primetime it aqlways brings out the best. If they play up to their capability and Turner lets his team dominate on offense this schedual should allow for a 12-13 win season. man am I glad we signed McClain, mathews should have himself a great year.

I think we’ll have a great offensive year. Can’t wait until Thursday!
