Morning Dump

Three shared something in common.

Quarterback Philip Rivers, free safety Eric Weddle and running back Ryan Mathews were all acquired via a draft-day trade

This seems like a an excellent pick to me if Barron can get past the Cowboys. I know a lot of fans want them to add a pass rusher, bu they added one last year when they selected Jonas Mouton in the second round of the draft. They are probably willing to let him have the chance to prove that it wasn’t a bad move. Barron would pair with Eric Weddle to give the Chargers a pair of good safeties which is hard to find in the league. Barron is considered more of a SS type, but he has enough coverage abilities in zone to be flexible.

I want both.  No Larry English bust. We need pass rusher who loves to hit and can stop the run.

Do the Chargers have the Killer instinct? Does that include Turner, that’s the only question mark for me. If he coaches with the playbook open to dominate the answer is a hands down yes. If he plays it safe like the Turner we know sorry.

Great question, for me, I have never seen the killer in the Chargers. They come from behind to win and when they are ahead they find away to give the game away. I agree Mike they play it safe
