San Diego Chargers coach Norv Turner says it was difficult to say goodbye to Vincent Jackson, predicting the wide receiver will have a major impact on the offense of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In Los Angeles, it was reported that St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke is among three finalists to buy the Los Angeles Dodgers. Bloomberg News reported that final bidding could begin this week.

“We’ve obviously tried to keep that from being a distraction,” Turner said, “but I think it can affect guys, constantly being told how good you are or how talented you are. I like the mindset of being under the radar a little bit. I like the mindset of approaching this on a day-to-day basis, every day doing something to help our team get better and taking that approach when we get into our offseason program.”

The time leading up to the draft is fun and frustrating for us at BFTB. We’re rarely right about who the San Diego Chargers are going to select with their first-round draft pick, and this year probably will be no different. However, we’ve taken to thinking outside the box when it comes to positions A.J. Smith & Co. might be targeting.
