Chargers Next Addition Could Be WR Eddie Royal

AJ really is putting some work in with all that Vincent Jackson money. There still are holes to fill, but we are adding pieces to our team and getting a new toughness to it. Our next addition to the team could be WR Eddie Royal formerly of the Denver Broncos.

Chargers looking to make Eddie Royal their No.4 receiver. Odds seem pretty good, I’m told. – Kevin Acee

Royal would likely be the 4th receiver on the team, but could step up to be the starter if either Malcom Floyd or Robert Meachem went down. Royal would also be a dangerous weapon in the punt return game. Royal has shown that he could be a weapon on offense also, if he can stay healthy.

I don’t know if I’m the only one but I was very impressed with Browns leaping ability and his hunger for getting the ball. I think he will more than make strides this year. Floyd, Brown and Meachum will be alot for teams to handle. I’d still like to see laMichael James get drafted and play some in the spread offense. Sperry is OK but we need to get a great back-up to Gates. Smith needs to seriously look at inviting a few undrafted free agents to camp, just be watching the NCAA Tourney for a PF that is a tweener and won’t be drafted in the NBA. Talk with one of these guys about Gates success and the chance at playing TE in the NFL. There’s alot of great Atheletes that choose Basketball and excell in college but are caught between the PF and SF size and speed. But they’d be a great size for the NFL. I know that Glen Davis did well for Boston but his footwork for a man his size would make a great blocking TE or even Guard. Some of these great atheletes give up when they could play Football.
