Chargers Plan To Start Frank Summers At Fullback

Even if the Chargers bring back Jacob Hester in free agency, they plan on using Frank Summers as the starter at fullback (Gehlken). Summers spent all of last season on the practice squad and made a lot of noise during training camp before he was slowed by injuries.

Summers stands at 5-foot-10, 240 pounds and is more of a prototypical fullback. He likes contact and wants to make the big hit.

Hester would have to settle for backup duty and special teams play.
