POLL: Should the Chargers Go After LB Kamerion Wimbley If He Is Released?

The Oakland Raiders are trying to get rid of all kinds of salary with their new GM stepping into a pile of mess with their cap situation. One of the casualties could be OLB Kamerion Wimbley. They are hoping to restructure a contract with Wimbley, but it doesn’t look like he wants to take a pay cut.

If Wimbley were to be cut loose, should he be one of our targets in free agency? He had 7 sacks last season, with 4 of those coming against crappy Brandyn Dombrowski with that dip move. You remove his game against us and he only had 3 sacks on the season. That sounds like somebody we already have on our roster!

I know some Raiders fans will find a way to this post… SO, what do the members of the Nation think of Wimbley? Will you all be sad to see him go? What should we expect of Wimbley if we bring him in?

I’d so like option C on the poll:  Give him a look and decide if he’s a good fit.  In a defense where there are multiple sack threats coming at a QB, he might be a decent pick up.  He’s 28 so there should be gas in the tank.  Also, if he’s cut by the Raiders I know at least two games where he’ll want to bust Palmer in the mouth.  Is he THE answer?  No.  Is he worth a look to see if he can be part of the answer?  Sure.

@RussellGrant those 2 games might be enough for me to be smiling! if we can get a guy that goes HAM on the Raiders every time.. sounds pretty enticing to me.
antwan barnes went off on the ravens last season for them letting him loose.
