Special teams demon Corey Graham of the Chicago Bears is in the Chargers radar. Graham was voted into the Pro Bowl last season because of his play on special teams. With the possibility of Mike Tolbert jumping onto another roster, the Chargers will need to fill his role on special teams. Tolbert is not just a bulldozer running back, he is an ace on the special teams. Graham could be signed to fill that void.

The Chargers will be in the market for a cornerback, and free agent special teams ace Corey Graham will likely be a target as the Chargers appear likely to lose their Special Teams Player of the Year, Mike Tolbert. – Kevin Acee

Graham would also be able to add support in the secondary. He has not been used a lot in the Bears secondary – he started nine games in 2008 and finished with 91 tackles, but has been used sparingly since. He could be looking for more opportunities to play on defense. Last season, he finished the season with 3 interceptions while playing sparingly. You might remember one of those interceptions:

So, Corey Graham? Nothing to get out of our seats about!

@epadaon do you think we r going to franchise someone today?

      • epadaon

@619chargers4life we have till Monday to do so… i dont think we will. the price for VJ is a lot and the other option would be Nick Hardwick, but his price would be a lot for a center.
i doubt that we use the tag this year
