Around the AFC West: Kansas City Chiefs Sign Stanford Routt

Looks like Stanford Routt will be flipping jerseys within the division. He will be jumping from the dysfunctional Oakland Raiders to the equally dysfunctional Kansas City Chiefs. Routt was one of the best corners available and the Chiefs were not sure if they were going to be able to re-sign CB Brandon Carr to a contract. They signed Routt for a 3-year $20 million deal and he will be teamed up with Brandon Flowers in their secondary. The Chiefs defense just got a little bit better and they will have Eric Berry coming back from an injury next season as well.
