The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Chargers defensive lineman Tommie Harris’ wife Ashley died at age 29 Sunday in an Oklahoma hospital after suffering a stroke or brain aneurysm two days earlier.

USC Trojans defensive end Nick Perry hopes to parlay his 9.5-sack junior season into stardom in the NFL. By most accounts, Perry is projected to be a first round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft either as a defensive end, his position in college, or as a linebacker in a 3-4 scheme. Perry could end up with a familiar face with the San Diego Chargers.

Over the past couple of seasons, the Baltimore Ravens have brought in outside free agent wide receivers to help elevate their passing game. First, the Ravens signed ex-Bengals wide-out, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, for the 2010-2011 season, and then traded a 4th round pick for ex-Bills wide receiver, Lee Evans, this past off-season.
