Bolt Beat Mock Draft

I guess it is about that time for us to start making our mock drafts. What else do we have to look forward to right now? Teams that we HATE are about to get into the Super Bowl right now and we are in our normal seats, watching the game. Here is our first mock draft for the off-season:

1. Indianapolis Colts
Andrew Luck
QB, Stanford

26. Detroit Lions

27. Baltimore Ravens
Vontaze Burfict
LB, Arizona State

28. Pittsburgh Steelers
David Wilson
RB, Virginia Tech

29. New England Patriots (from New Orleans)
Andre Branch
DE/OLB, Clemson

30. San Francisco 49ers
Jarvis Jones
LB, Georgia

31. New England Patriots
Brandon Thompson
DT, Clemson

32. Green Bay Packers
Kelechi Osemele
OG, Iowa State

For the record, I don’t like the idea of picking Nick Perry with the 18th pick and think we should make a trade. We can either move down in the first round and pick up another pick later in the draft and then select Vontaze Burfict. Even Nick Perry could be available later in the first round. OR we can move up in the draft and try and get Courtney Upshaw.

You got my vote, Nick Perry is the perfect pick opposite Phillips or Barnes. Speed and tackling ability off the edge. This is where switching to a 4 – 3 with the Chargers Roster would be great. Garay and Martin in the middle, Castillo and Luigit at DE and Phillips and Perry outside. Then Offensive line. I really think one way or another the Chargers should sign Jackson. He’s worth more in trade for a top Safety or CB than getting one in free agency. Then they could concentrate on O-line and a W/R. I don’t think Perry will drop that much, but it would make for a outstanding D-Line.

@MikeTuck i am liking the idea of adding Perry more and more. I think he has the ability to move into the outside linebacker spot if needed also. No more waiting around for Larry boy and Travis Girl!!! Time to get some real talent off of the edge

You know the Texans have Antonio Smith and JJ Watt right? They will not even consider drafting a DE in this Draft even if one is the best player on the board. They will with out a doubt be selecting a WR go get a actual #2 threat across from Andre Johnson. Especially with how Kevin Walter and brick-handed Jacoby Jones played this year.

If Perry is there we’d be fools to let him get away. I don’t know if there is a limit to invites to camp. But I’d be getting a 20 member O-line group there early and work them to see if there is a group that fit together. Size and speed aside unity at offensive line is a must. We need 8-10 guys that fit together and like each other. Our Defensive line has had time to gel and I think they’ll come together along w/ Castillo next year. Speed off the edge at OLB and a veteran safety to work with Weddle will make the defense tight.
