Turnovers Key for Playoff Wins

For each of this weekends playoff games the team with the best defense pulled off the win.  Eighteen turnovers in four games.

New Orleans at San Fransisco, score 32 to 36. New Orleans lost after coughing up the ball five times, each for loss of possession.  Niners turned the ball over once.

Denver at New England, score 10 to 45.  Contributing to Tebows inability to do pretty much anything, the Broncos coughed the ball up twice, once for loss of possession.   The Patriots also fumbled once and Brady threw an interception, but it didn’t matter because they had six touchdowns.

Texans at Ravens, score 13 to 20.  Texans QB Yates threw three interceptions and then they threw in three fumbles with one for loss of possession.  The Ravens had three fumbles, but managed to get each back.

Giants at Packers, score 37 to 20.  The best game of the bunch.  Great matchup and two power defenses made for three quarters of excitement before Green Bay blew up.  Manning threw one interception, but Rogers threw an in interception and fumbled, they also had two more fumbles for loss of possession four times.

Interesting weekend and good football.  I can’t wait for next weekend.

The 49er vs Saints game had to be one of the best football games I have watched in years! Really looking forward to the NFC championship!
