FRIDAY!!!! It has been a short week and it still took forever to get to Friday!! Happy it is here now and we can watch some playoff football. I guess I will root for the Saints to win it all.

SAN DIEGO — The San Diego Chargers fired defensive coordinator Greg Manusky on Thursday after just one year on the job and replaced him a few hours later with linebackers coach John Pagano.

Apparently, the Chargers believe the answers to their problems will be corrected in-house. In a lightning-fast process, the Chargers promoted within for the position what will be their biggest leadership change of the offseason.

With the announcement on January 3rd that San Diego Chargers coach Norv Turner and general manager A.J. Smith would be returning next season, fans took the internet and radio to voice their feelings. And they were not nice about it. Many thought for sure that after finishing 8-8 for the season, Turner and Smith would be on their way out.

SAN DIEGO — Chargers general manager A. J. Smith has been critical of himself. A second straight season without a playoff berth was a gut check in its own right, regardless of the uncertain job status that came with it.

The San Diego Chargers would like to have wide receiver Vincent Jackson back on the roster again next season. However, it isn’t looking likely that the team will put the franchise tag on him again in order to make that happen, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
