… And Now the Bill Cowher Talk Can Start Again

20111225-092131.jpg

Bill Cowher for head coach of the San Diego Chargers has been put on hold for a few weeks with the Bolts going on a mini run and Cowher denying any head coaching talk. Early yesterday morning, the New York Post had said that we have already reached out to a Bill Cowher:

I was told this week by an in-the-know source with intimate knowledge of the San Diego sports scene that Cowher already had “an interview” with high-ranking people inside the Chargers organization who were gauging his interest and that he expressed his interest in the job should Norv Turner be fired.

Chargers officials are denying that we have had any talks.

So let the speculation continue for who will be our new head coach. Maybe we talked to the chin already, or maybe we didn’t. Cowher has repeatedly said that he will not be coaching next year, but if he still has that fire to coach in him, then San Diego would be a tough gig to pass up. There is a lot of speculation that Jon Gruden will be our next head coach also. Maybe we just sign them all and make a dream team of coaches. Whatever it takes to bring us back to elite status!

Of Course the Chargers are going to deny that they had a “sit down” with Cowher when they are still in the playoff hunt. Let’s see what is thrown around this week now that the season is over. I still want Fisher.
