NEW YORK—Qualcomm Inc. plans to rename the Chargers’ football stadium in San Diego for 10 days this month, seeking to bring more attention to its chips for mobile devices as competition heats up in that market.

Signed to the team on November 16, he played in two games, but was inactive for Monday’s game against Jacksonville.

The San Diego Union-Tribune, citing sources, said Ndukwe punched and knocked down defensive end Vaughn Martin, and then kicked him after becoming upset about Martin’s bull rushing of him. Ndukwe had warned Martin to stop, according to the newspaper.

Either way, Eric Weddle’s twisting, diving interception in the second quarter on Monday night, which allowed the Chargers to score a touchdown just before halftime, is why the team invested as it did in Weddle this past July.

SAN DIEGO – Vincent Brown has shifted from the San Diego State campus to the San Diego Chargers this year, overcoming a hamstring injury that wiped out most of his training camp. Now deep into his rookie year, Brown is making plays.
