What’s the Defense Going to Look Like Without Shaun Phillips?

Shaun Phillips hobbled off to the sideline at the end of the Jets ballgame and he has not hit the practice field yet. His chances for playing on Monday Night seem slim and Norv Turner did not seem optimistic.

I have been waiting for Antwan Barnes to get the start, but this is not the way I wanted to see it happen. I wanted to have Barnes and Phillips attacking the quarterbacks together.

So now we might get to see what the defense will look like with its best player sitting on the sideline. Hopefully they will be able to get pressure on the quarterback with Travis LaBoy, Barnes and Darryl Gamble.

It is going to be a big challenge this weekend without Sp95 out there and somebody will have to step up. Hopefully Eric Weddle can get his hands on a couple of more picks!
