Dear Chargers, Please Open Up the Pocket Book and Pay Vincent Jackson!

With Antonio Gates deteriorating right in front of our eyes and fragile Malcom Floyd going down with an injury AGAIN, we need to make sure that we have weapons for our quarterback for years and years to come. Vincent Jackson is one of the best wide receivers in the league and when you team him up with Philip Rivers, he is SCARY GOOD!

Vincent Jackson is a BEAST at receiver and he rarely is on the injury reports. He stretches the field and opens up the underneath routes for slot receivers and running backs. He out muscles the corners and he is not afraid to make catches over the middle. He is a complete package!

Why wouldn’t you want to have this MONSTER receiver on the team for years and years to come?  He finished the game on Sunday with 10 catches for 172 yards and 2 scores. We need to sign him soon OR he is going to find a major payday for some other team!

A deadline passed today for teams to lock up their franchise players to long-term deals and the Chargers were one of the teams that did not complete a deal. He will become a free agent in March and the team can franchise tag him again OR they can get him locked in for years to come. Let’s hope the Bolts decide to bring him back with that long-term deal!

@ThomasBell i would hate to see this beast end up on another team!!!!

  • San Diego Charger Fans in Austin

We could have signed him last year for 5 years @ 50+mil/25mil guaranteed and been better off financially. If we franchise him again next season @ a projected cost of 13+million for WR, we would have already payed him 25 million for 2 years!!! Sign this guy already AJ.
