Peter King, from Sports Illustrated has selected the San Diego Chargers to be his AFC Champion team and take on the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl. He predicts a 20-24 loss for the Chargers, making the Falcons the NFL champs. To be dead honest, these were the two teams I would have selected too. Both have very high octane offenses and solid defenses. The only difference is that the Chargers statistically have the best defense in the league right now coming off the 2010 season.

Could he be right? King also predicted last year before the season that the Super Bowl would be played by Pittsburgh vs Green Bay. Correct! The only difference is that he predicted the Steelers to win, not the Packers.

Personally, I wish each season that analysts and writers would NOT project the Chargers as a Super Bowl team. I feel like the pressure is always on the Chargers and they never get to be that under-the-radar team that they would like to be. I would love more than anything to see my Bolts take it to the big stage, but come on people!

AFC Division Champs: New England, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, San Diego
AFC Wild Cards: Baltimore, NY Jets

NFC Division Champs: Philadelphia, Green Bay, New Orleans, St. Louis
NFC Wild Cards: Atlanta, Detroit

Wow – I like everything but his final score! But I also agree, don’t pump my Bolts up too much or they’ll leak air like they did last year!

Wishful thinking the Chargers are going very far into the playoffs. This team is setup for

failure. What reasons are those? Spanos, Smith & Turner. I hear this Rah Rah Rah every

year. They can’t sell out all of their regular season games because fans have jumped off

the fanwagon. Frankly the Bolts have gone down hill every year since that wise move to

fire a 14-2 coach. Bring me the Lombardi Trophy or all this pre season talk is just hype.

Geez, let’s not jinx us, although I do agree with King’s predictions untilnthenfinal outcome. We need to take it one game at a time and spread positive energy ( not negative which only attracts more negative energy) around! I always love the start of a new season– so much excitement & high hopes:)

Norv will hold them back & they’ll be mentally underprepared in the playoffs & they’ll implode & lose to an inferior team. SAME-O-SAME-O. !!!!!
