The game was not looking good for us in the first quarter. Larry Fitzgerald and the Cardinals were breaking off huge plays all over the field. Kevin Kolb proved to be a pretty good quarterback and made some plays happen. Philip Rivers also started out of the Gates a little slow, throwing a pick for a touchdown. Kolb hit Fitz with an 80-yard pass for a score and Patrick Peterson intercepted Rivers and took it to the house.

Then the team settled down and started moving the football down the field. Philip Rivers was finding Malcom Floyd, Vincent Jackson and Antonio Gates down the field and started moving the ball. The first score was a pass from Philip Rivers out to Antonio Gates and then the second touchdown of the quarter came on a 3-yard pass out to M80. The Cards were able to add onto their lead though in the quarter with a 34-yard reverse play for the TD.

The second half started slow and the starters were pulled out of the game midway through the quarter. Ryan Mathews added a 48-yard burst up the middle to set up a Nate Kaeding field goal.

The second teamers were in for the final quarter and the Cards started the scoring off with a 6-yard pass from Richard Bartel to LaRod Stephens-Howling for a score. Then the Chargers bench started making their presence felt. The defense started it off by forcing a fumble near the Cardinals goal line and Mr Vegas Darryl Gamble picking up the ball for the score. Gamble looks like he has earned a spot on the team with his play today. Then the team was able to get a chance for Billy Volek to run the 2-minute drill for a win. Volek used his receivers to move down the field and depended mostly on Bryan Walters. Walters made a spectacular catch on a tipped ball in the middle of the field for 27 yards to set up the TD. With 3 seconds left on the clock, Volek found Walters with a 14 yard score to take the lead and win the ballgame. Great effort by the guys today!
