Morning Dump

Last offseason it was rumored that the Kansas City Chiefs were planning to target potential free agent RB Darren Sproles. It was being reported that the San Diego Chargers were not going to tender Sproles and that the Chiefs could be one of his biggest suitors.

The team-by-team tour of the worst moments for each NFL franchise since the last work stoppage took us today to sunny (we assume) San Diego, where the local football team has from time to time performed just well enough to rip out the hearts of the fan base.

BW: I could see the Chargers trying to add another inside linebacker. Morrison, now of Jacksonville and formerly of Oakland, went to San Diego State and still has major ties to the area. I think if he were fairly inexpensive, the Chargers could look at Morrison, although he is not a perfect fit for a 3-4 defense. I don’t think he’d be a high priority for a team that isn’t overly active in free agency, anyway.
