Jaguars could be interested in Eric Weddle

This lockout is preventing any free agent movement but it doesn’t stop all the chatter amongst the fans. We have had talks about Steve Smith and some middle linebackers that we would be interested here, but we have not talked about where some of our free agents may be courted.

The chatter out in Jacksonville has a lot of talks about our safety Eric Weddle. The Jags did not address their need at safety in the draft, so they may be looking to bring in one through free agency. They still are high on Courtney Greene, but they may take a look at Weddle.

Weddle should be one of the top priorities for the Bolts to bring back, but Weddle already has said that he is willing to leave if the price is not right. A tandem of Bob Sanders and Weddle in the San Diego secondary could be one of the best in the league, so AJ should make sure that the young safety sticks around.

why would you think that. I would rather have Eric Weddle back than have Steve Gregory as the starter

Weddle would be an all pro if he had decent hands. He had to of dropped at least 4 interceptions last year. If the league still allowed Stick-em, Weddle would of already been signed.

he has ROCK hands!!! there were so many situations in which he dropped interceptions and could have gotten the ball back to the offense. Some of those passes were thrown right at him also!
