Morning Dump

The most elaborate Bday celebration I think I have seen in vegas to date.. Usually theres a red carpet, maybe some sparklers, but the entire nightclub was brought to a standstill! The crowd was parted as Noah parts the red sea to allow Shaun and his entourage to pass under personalized, rainbow, light up batons, along with tons of personalized toys that were all promptly tossed into the crowd. Add to it a HUGE birthday cake escorted with bottles of champagne and every cocktail server in the place wearing a Shaun Phillips Charger’s jersey. Finish it off with the walls plastered with his photo and a celebrity entourage to boot!! So fun to hang out with my old skool crew I haven’t seen in FOREVER!! Glad you guys dragged me out for this one….

With the 2011 NFL Draft behind them, the San Diego Chargers now focus on training camp. That is of course that we have a training camp and a 2011 season.

The Chargers have played only 23 early games since 2005 largely because they’ve been good enough to command 23 prime-time games during that span. The Chargers’ 12-11 record in those early games features three victories over the Kansas City Chiefs and others against the Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins. Two road games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and one against the New England Patriots fell in prime time during that span.

Chargers defensive coordinator Greg Manusky has a knack for making things sound simplistic.

His aw-shucks style of answering questions is one of the things that caught Head Coach Norv Turner’s attention. During Manusky’s job interview earlier this year, Turner asked him about his goals.
