Chargers Draft Day 2 - Let's keep it rollin'

Hope everyone digested the first round of the draft, because Day 2 is here. We already picked up a big defensive lineman that we needed and now we have to get after a linebacker and possibly a wide receiver in these next couple of rounds. We also have to pick up an offensive tackle if there is a good one for the picking.

There is a lot of talent that is lying around for the taking at linebacker. Akeem Ayers of UCLA, Brooks Reed of UA, and Justin Houston of UGA all could compete for playing time at linebacker with Larry English. Casey Matthews of Oregon could be a possibility to play in the middle of the defense. AJ may have surprised fans with his draft choice, but he made a good move and there are plenty more defensive players that we hope fall to our spot.

BranDon Harris is a corner that is still available and has round 1 talent. We will need someone to fill in for Quentin Jammer in a couple of years and he could also help out in nickel packages.

We also can look at some possibilities at wide receiver. M80 Malcom Floyd is a free agent and Vincent Jackson probably won’t be on the team in a year or so. We have to find some talent for Philip to throw to. We can look at names like Leonard Hankerson, Greg Little, Titus Young, Jernal Jerrigan and Randall Cobb as possibilities to join the pass catching group.

Round 2! Let’s keep it rolling! Who do you want to see the Bolts get after?
