The Chargers meet with another possibility at corner

The Chargers already have met with a cornerback prospect from the University of Miami, and now the National Football Post is reporting that we are going to meet with University of Colorado corner Jimmy Smith.

Smith has good size (6-2, 211) and speed and could be a possibility to be drafted late in the first round. The Chargers may be hoping that he slips down to the second round OR we can make a trade to move up in the draft to select him.

Quentin Jammer is moving toward the end of his career and the Chargers may want to use a draft pick to select a player to groom as his replacement. He could be used against slot receivers and would be insurance at the position, just in case Antoine Cason or Quentin Jammer get hurt.
