Chargers scheduled to meet with D-Line prospect from Clemson

Jarvis Jenkins #99

According to the National Football Post, The Bolts are scheduled to meet with Jarvis Jenkins, a big (6-4, 310 lbs) defensive tackle out of Clemson. He will take up space and clog the middle of the line on defense. He doesn’t offer much of a pass rush with only 4 sacks during his 4 years in Clemson, but he can help slow down the running game. He is projected to be drafted in the third or fourth rounds.

If the Chargers were to draft Jenkins, he would join in as part of the rotation that we like to employ on the defensive line. We already have Antonio Garay, Ogemdi Nwagbuo and Cam Thomas on the depth chart at the defensive tackle position, so we better fill some other needs before we go for a defensive tackle.
