Do not vote for Philip Rivers to be on the Madden 2012 cover

ESPN is holding a bracket to see who should grace the cover of the Madden 2012 cover. Our boy Philip Rivers is a candidate to make it onto the cover and he is a number 1 seed in the first round going up against 16th seed Darren McFadden. Our votes determine if he advances to the next round of the brackets.

We all need to get on board and vote AGAINST Philip. We don’t need that evil of the Madden curse jumping onto our team. Jump onto ESPN, vote against Philip Rivers and vote that curse onto some other player! Just keep it away from us!

“Fitzgerald, on the other hand, started all 16 regular season and both playoff games for the Cardinals. He did not attend the pro bowl due to a rib injury, leaving Steve Smith of the New York Giants, to take his spot in the 2010 Pro Bowl. He recorded 97 receptions (third-most of his NFL career), 1,092 yards (fourth-most), and a career-high 13 touchdowns.

Furthermore, to earn the honor of being put on the game cover, a player is usually coming off of a career year. Some regression the following year is to be expected, whether that player is featured on the cover or not, because players generally don’t produce two career years in a row.” -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madden_NFL

I didn’t mean to sound harsh :) but i don’t believe in the curse. It’s just the nature of football for players to get injured as well as for them to regress after a career season. I will continue to read your columns BTW.
