The Morning Charge - 3/10/11

Nine scouts, including Randy Mueller and Scot McCloughan, respective senior personnel executives for the San Diego Chargers and Seattle Seahawks, as well as Jon-Eric Sullivan from the world champion Green Bay Packers, Lenny McGill from the Denver Broncos and other scouts from the Saints, Jets, Browns and Colts, among others, were in Fort Collins Wednesday.

The Chicago Bears sent three coaches to the workout, no doubt to get a close look at offensive tackle Gabe Carimi and guard John Moffitt. The Green Bay Packers were also well represented with general manager Ted Thompson and coach Mike McCarthy, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Also attending are Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin and San Diego Chargers general manager A.J. Smith.

Here’s a question sure to draw a consensus response … with the benefit of hindsight, which 2001 draft pick would you stake the future of your club to, QB Michael Vick or RB LaDainian Tomlinson?
