Slow Day in Sports

Wow… what a slow slow day in sports! Baseball season is still a bit away, The Super Bowl is a couple of weekends away, The SDSU basketball team does not play until tomorrow, then I look up at SportsCenter and they are talking about some dude that got fired because he was wearing a Green Bay Packers tie and worked in Chicago. Really, that was newsworthy!?!?!

I think the biggest story of the day was Chad Ochocinco announcing that he was going to change his name back to Chad Johnson.

I think Chad Johnson was a better player than Chad Ochocinco anyway. People will start to wonder if Chad is looking to join a team that already has the number 85 filled. Here in San Diego, that number is filled by Antonio Gates.. just saying.

I really don’t see the Chargers making a move for Chad. He can be too much of a distraction off of the field, but I am sure that some people would like to just dream of a Philip Rivers to Chad connection.

The only Chargers news I got for you today is that our starting fullback, Jacob Hester, created a twitter account. YAY!!! I wonder why SportsCenter didn’t post that up? Yea, I know it’s sad, but for all you “tweeple” out there, add Hester onto your twitter and enjoy!
