Chargers Hire Rich Bisaccia as Special Teams Coach

On a busy day for the San Diego Chargers and their coaching staff, the Chargers  hired a new special teams coach to take over for the departed Steve Crosby.

Rich Bisaccia, formerly the special teams coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will take over the same position for the Chargers. He spent 9 years with the Bucs and won a Super Bowl in Tampa.

The Chargers had the worst special teams in history and Bisacci has the tough task to fix it. He has a great history with Tampa and should do an excellent job.

You say you want a coach with passion. You say you want a tireless worker. You say you want a man with integrity.

“Rich Bisaccia,” said Jon Gruden.

You say you want a coach with people skills. You say you want a coach who has spent some time around the NFL. You say you want a coach who can flash his Super Bowl ring in the face of a recruit.

“Rich Bisaccia,” said Derrick Brooks.

You say you want a coach who can motivate the star player and the backup. You say you want a coach who is familiar with the program. You say you want a coach who makes players want to play for him.

“Rich Bisaccia,” said Warren Sapp. – tampabay.com

I had the pleasure to coach at Yankton College. He was one tough kid who always busted hit tail. He was a leader! His success as a coach does not surprise me. You could tell he was a WINNER and whatever he did, he do his best to be the best!
