Ron Rivera Will Be Named Carolina Panthers Head Coach

San Diego Chargers defensive coordinator will be named the Carolina Panthers head coach. It is not official yet, but Kevin Acee reports that it is “all but certain.” Rivera coached the Chargers to a number 1 defensive standing last season and will be difficult to replace.

Rivera is expected to bring over a few more of the assistants with him to Carolina to help him get settled in. Chargers QB Coach John Ramsdell has been mentioned as heading to Carolina as an offensive coordinator.

Now the Chargers need to search for a new defensive coordinator. I listed a few candidates in: Candidates for Defensive Coordinator IF Ron Rivera Leaves (I guess we can take the ‘IF’ out)

Ron Rivera did a great job with the Chargers and some people wish that he took over the head coaching job for the Chargers. I wish him the best and hope that we can bring in another great coach to replace him.
