The San Diego Chargers need a lot of help to make it into the playoffs, but they have to continue winning their games first. They cannot control what the other teams do, but they can stay focused on the Cincinnati Bengals for this Sunday.
Listening to the Chargers after Wedesday’s practice, you get the impression that the Chargers are getting ready to go up against a team that is fighting to get into the playoffs. Instead, this weekend’s game is against the 3-11 (second worst record in the league) Cincinnati Bengals.
The Chargers have had extra time to focus on this team (following a Thursday Night Football game) and it sounds like the Chargers have done their homework and are not taking this team lightly. Some people have mentioned this Sunday as a possible ‘trap’ game for the Chargers, where they could have a lapse in focus and end up losing a game that they should have won. The Chargers have already lost similar games this year, where they were highly favored, so they need to keep their focus on the Bengals.
They can check in on SportsCenter after the game to see how there competition did.
