The Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel has been finally ruled out against the Chargers for Sundays contest. It comes to no surprise since he had an emergency appendectomy in the middle of the week and he has not been able to practice since. He will be replaced in the offense by QB Brodie Croyle.

Croyle has not yet to win an NFL start in his career and has 2 wins in his 17 appearances in the NFL. In both of those appearances, he did not throw a pass in the game. The Chiefs offense is largely dependent on the rushing attack and is much more skilled than the teams that Croyle has started for in the past.
