The keys to unlocking a victory against the Raiders

Its December and you know what that means, colorful lights, eggnog, big fat men pretending to be a magical present giver, and baby Jesus. Actually it means it’s Norv-cember! It’s that wonderful time of year where the Chargers play at the upmost level they can. Alright let’s get down to this game.

  • Special Teams

Last time we played the Raiders we gave up a blocked punt for a touchdown, and a safety. This should be a given, we cannot give them 9 points before the end of the first half. I don’t see this happening again but we cannot forget about it.

  • Defense

The number 1 ranked defense needs to keep doing what they are doing and shut down the offense. Last time around, they did very well holding the Raiders offense to keep the Chargers in the game, but when special teams gives up 9 points that never should happen, what can you do?

  • Rhythm

On both of the sides of the ball, we need to get into a rhythm, and stay there. Our last two games are perfect examples of why this is important. When both sides are running at a perfect rhythm, you get a forced turnover and expose defenses and just suck the life out of the other team, just ask Peyton Manning.

  • Man up!

With so many injuries heading into the week, the 2nd team guys need to come in and play focused football. No dumb turnovers, broken tackles, or broken coverages. The Chargers have everything in their favor heading into the game, all that’s left is to execute.
