Philip Rivers
Philip Rivers continued his MVP type year while directing the Chargers to the victory. He completed 15/24 passes with 233 yards and 4 TDs. He also made a key run of 9 yards to get a first down and got the crowd up on their feet chanting M-V-P! He just keeps continuing to shine in this season, even without having key members to catch his passes.

Shaun Phillips
Shaun has had a career season so far and was a menace all over the field. He was chasing down Kyle Orton on every play. He finished with 2 sacks on the game and a pressure that forced Orton into and interception.

Mike Tobert
The Tank Tolbert just kept rumbling for yards and looked for Denver defenders to punish in his path. He finished the game with 111 yards rushing with a TD and 42 yards receiving.

Honorable Mention:
Patrick Crayton
Crayton was a BEAST!! He finished with 105 yards and a TD on 3 catches. He made S Brian Dawkins look foolish on the field while running in for the 49 yard score and he also carried a Denver DB a few yards with his stiff arm.

Nate Kaeding
Nate doesn’t have the leg anymore to kick field goals over 50 yards and every miss that he puts up, makes us worry about his confidence more and more. His kickoffs barely made it down the field and there were multiple occasions in which they were fielded by the up men.

Receivers Getting Hurt
Another receiver went down this week and will miss a few games. Patrick Crayton dislocated his wrist on his TD run and had to sit the rest of the game after the score.

Also, Malcom Floyd tweaked his hamstring in the game again.

Our receivers just keep finding ways to get hurt.

Mike Tolbert’s Fumble
I know that we recovered the ball, BUT he needs to keep better control of the ball. Another opportunity that could have changed the whole outlook of the game. He is being asked to carry the ball a lot and the defenders are looking for that strip. He needs to get 2 hands on that ball, especially with his style of running.

Honorable Mention:
Vaughn Martin’s Sack Dance
In a dominating effort, there isn’t much to complain about, BUT I had to fund a way to mention this somewhere this week. What was that? Was he trying to slip into some skinny jeans or something? Was he putting on his big boy pants? Maybe he should give us a couple more opportunities to see it.
