Monday: Norv Turner

He is still running a little bit too upright. I think that is where his fumbles are coming from. – Norv Turner on Ryan Mathews

It is amazing to look back in college and notice that he has NO fumbles during his whole time at Fresno State. Through 8 games in the NFL, he has already fumbled the ball 3 times and it seems to have gotten into his head.

I am a big fan of Wade’s. I have a lot of respect for what he does. – Norv on the firing of Wade Phillips

If Ron Rivera decides to move on elsewhere in the offseason, I guess Wade Phillips would be a possibility to come back as a defensive coordinator. He is a successful coordinator, BUT had proven to be a terrible head coach.

That is an area that just has to get better. I’m disappointed in how we handled what they did. – Norv on the run defense

Arian Foster just ran up and down our throats and we had no idea how to stop it. A good head coach would have just running Foster on us the whole game. Even though the defense is ranked high, there seems to be some holes that we need to fix up. The team needs to secure tackles and stop the run much better.

Over the next five days we are going to fix the issues that we have had on the punting game. We will not have another punt blocked for the rest of the season. – Norv on the punt coverage
Norv Turner made the bold claim saying that we will not have another blocked punt for the rest of the season. The special teams units have been a huge concern for the team and any time we go back for a punt we all hold our breath hoping that we are able to get the punt off. Steve Crosby has been on the TV way more often than he should be this season. We are all hoping that Norv and Crosby gets this thing corrected. We will all be watching it closely for the rest of the season.
