Did the Pats Bait Goodman?

Did the Patriots bait rookie WR Richard Goodman to make that play on Sunday. Take a look at the play again… Brandon Meriweather, a guy known for wanting to hit players, jumps completely over the receiver and never touches him as he is down. As soon as he lands on the other side of him his head is turned to look for the ball! S James Sanders sat there and watched the play unfold and as soon as Goodman put the ball on the ground he jumped right on top of it.

It looks like the Pats baited him to make a play like that. There would have been no drawbacks for the Patriots to wait him out. There were about 4 players around him, so if he stands up and tries to run, he quickly would have gotten nailed. If he just laid there and sat on top of the ball like some receivers might, they would have just walked over to touch him.

Sure seems like Meriweather jumped over him to allow this play to develop.
