Richard Goodman, rookie wide receiver, getting his first NFL catch. And Golic, you know the thing that’s ironic about this? I’m involved in high school coaching and I mentor a lot of guys. Watching him, I was like ‘where’d this kid go to school?’ Well, the kid goes to St. Thomas Aquinas, where I comes (from) and plays wide receiver. And before he went to the NFL, I sat him down with one of his buddies and tried to give him some insight on what was going to happen. But he seemed to know more about the NFL, so the meeting didn’t end well. By the time he left my house, I was very, very upset and told him he was on his own in the NFL. Then he gets in the game and does something like this. Rich, I told you the NFL was very complicated – come on, man! – Chris Carter
Alright… so if this is the case, then Richard Goodman needs to humble himself. When a player with the track record of Chris Carter is offering you advice, you need to listen and take it. This league is difficult enough and a big headed player will get squashed out of this league real fast. Respect the people that have been part of this league and play the game the right way.
