The Chargers made another roster move, signing S Tyrone “Chowder” Carter to the team. Carter is in his 11th year and started 12 games last season for the injured Troy Polamalu in Pittsburgh. He is a 2 time super bowl champion and will provide some veteran leadership with the suspension of Steve Gregory.
In order to make room on the roster, the Chargers cut DT Alfonso Boone. Boone was inactive last game and has not recorded a tackle this season. He started 4 games last season. This will give more opportunities for the young players like Ogemdi Nwagbuo, Cam Thomas and Vaughn Martin to see some playing time.
