WR Patrick Crayton issued some comments about the terrible special teams play this Sunday:
Right now, (special teams) coach (Steve) Crosby is (ticked) off. I don’t blame him,” Crayton told reporters. “The guys who are sitting in the meetings are not taking him seriously when he tells you to do a certain thing on a kickoff. He’s been in this league I don’t know how many years. He’s been around a while for a reason, obviously. You have to take this stuff seriously.
Coach Norv Turner was not pleased about the comments that were made by Crayton and told him that THIS team conducts those discussions in house. Crayton was traded to the Chargers from the Cowboys before the season and has often expressed his feelings to the media about different issues. He expressed his unhappiness with the role that he had in Dallas with the drafting of WR Dez Bryant. He expressed that he wanted to be traded or released.
This is not the Dallas Cowboys, but at least I know that somebody on the team is pissed about the play of special teams. The coverage units have been awful and someone needs to light a fire on those guys. Crayton might as well go out on the coverage unit himself and show us how it is done. Actions speak louder than words! Lets please stop those kick returners!!
