Big Mac ended his holdout today and signed for the tender offer. He will miss the next 3 games due to the roster exempt suspension and will be eligible to play on October 17th against the St. Louis Rams. Vincent Jackson now remains the only Charger that is unsigned.

Marcus McNeill was drafted in the 2nd Round of the 2006 NFL draft. He is a 2 time pro bowl selection and provides protection to Philip Rivers’ blind side. He will look to gain his starting position back.

A.J. Smith held his ground against Vincent Jackson and McNeill. Smith has often said that he will only talk long-term contracts when they sign their tender. This will open up the opportunity to get that long term contract that he is looking for. McNeill shows that he “just wants to play football.” Vincent Jackson had made that statement a couple of days ago, when he was not traded to another team. Looks like someone really means it.

This definitely gives A.J. Smith the upper hand in any talks with Vincent Jackson. Enough of the VJax talk for now though. WELCOME BACK BIG MAC!!!
