I can't disagree with anything said here thus far. In truth the 'Hawks have been struggling with the run since the disaster with Hutch's resigning. While Okung gives us some hope for the future, we've shown a general failure to consistently execute with zone blocking.

To your point on the success of the Seahawks riding on how well good 'ol #8 does, I couldn't agree more, and I think it's primarily due to our inconsistent run game. Hasselbeck would be much more effective (and dangerous) if defenses had to give equal respect to our running game.

While we have an ok secondary on defense, the Chargers will eat us alive if we can't get some pressure on Rivers and constantly account for Gates.

The hardest part about being a Seahawk fan right now is not knowing what to expect. Hopefully both teams will show up and give us all something to watch!

yea...the Chargers need to stop the big play and Forsett has the ability to break off chunks of yards. it definitely will be a good game. like you said, i hope everybody stays healthy for both teams.

well, im happy you tuned into the site. hope you visit more and have your brother check in also. I just started here on this site in week 1 and still have to build the fan base.

We haven't run the ball more for a few reasons. Our line has had lots of changes and couldn't get it going in the preseason. Our poor running continued against SF. Forsett had one big run that helped his average, but we were at 2ypc before that. Against Denver, we ran well, but fell behind due to turnovers, so we had no choice but to go to the air.

Still, Forsett is averaging 5.8 ypc. He's slippery. Last year, he was ranked as the most elusive back in the league. If our o-line can give him slivers of daylight, your LBs better be on their best game or Justin will get runs from 8 to 20 yards. He lacks the top end speed to really break away, but can still move the offense down the field.

BTW, my brother lives in Oceanside. I root for you guys on most weekends, but not this Sunday. :)

Let's hope for a great, injury-free day for both our teams. You guys will be in the playoffs. Fingers crossed for the 'Hawks.
