Vincent Jackson Hearing In Progress

SAN DIEGO, CA - DECEMBER 20: Wide Receiver Vincent Jackson #83 of the San Diego Chargers catches a touchdown pass in the 1st half against Leon Hall #29 of Cincinnati Bengals during the NFL Game on December 20, 2009 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California. Just needed to remind The Beat of the hearing that is in progress for the ruling of Vincent Jackson’s suspension status. If the ruling says that the suspension is removed after a change of teams, then he will be more attractive for prospective buyers. The announcement of the ruling may not be made till tomorrow.

There are a lot of rumors coming out of Minnesota. They have  interest in the receiver since they are minus the services of Sidney Rice for a couple of months. The rumors would bring back a high draft pick and possibly more depending on the length of his contract. There is also talk from St. Louis for a possible trade.

The Chargers need to just make the trade and get it over with. The huge cloud will hang over the Chargers all season and will come up anytime a pass is dropped or Antonio Gates is double teamed. With the trade, at least we don’t give false hope to all the fans who are hoping for a VJax comeback. Maybe we are waiting to get rid of VJax before we start contract talks with Marcus McNeill.
