Hearing Complete - VJax Eligible in 5th Game IF Traded

Vincent Jackson‘s appeal to shorten the suspension if he was traded was successful. He will now be able to play in the 5th game of the NFL season IF he is traded. IF he is to remain on the San Diego Chargers, he still would only be able to start his season in the 7th game.

IF there is a team willing to give up a high draft pick and sign Vincent Jackson for this year, then we will get too see VJax running down the sidelines and catching deep bombs. The Minnesota Vikings and the St. Louis Rams have shown interest in making a trade for him.

That gives the Chargers another 3 weeks before they even need to make a trade. If he is traded to the St. Louis Rams, then he would get to play against his former club in Week 6 of the NFL season. That would make for some interesting headlines and game plot.

If Jackson signs a contract with SD and is traded by 4:00 p.m., New York time, on Wed Sept 22, he will be placed on the Commissioner Exempt list for three games, retroactive to game two. So if Jackson is traded by the Sept 22 deadline, he can play in new club’s 5th game. a moratorium will be in effect from now until 4pm ESt Sept. 17. During the moratorium, any club must receive advance permission from San Diego to talk to Jackson. No trade for Jackson can become official until after this Sept. 17 moratorium is lifted – Jason LaCantora (NFL Network)

AJ, just make the move already so that we can move on from this story. Start working out the contract of Marcus McNeill also! Lets get this thing done! I wonder if you even care… Probably not!
