Merry Christmas Everyone
The day started out very heavy and somber, stemming from the moment of silence that was help for fallen Bengals Receiver Chris Henry. This sad mood didn’t last long for the chargers.
Darren Sproles started out the game with a 45 yard kick return. This set up a 3 yard touchdown catch by Antonio Gates.
Vincent Jackson had two touchdown catches of 21 and 34 yards and 108 receiving yards. He broke the 1,000 yard mark for the season. He also set a career high 9 TD catches in a season today.
Antonio Gates had only 33 yards and a TD, but [...]
The Chargers-Bengals game starts in a little over an hour and I have a few last minute notes and thoughts.
Shawne Merriman is probable for the game today. He was having trouble with a foot injury which caused him to miss 2 days of practice this week. Shaun Phillips is listed as questionable with an ankle injury but is expected to play. Eric Weddle is back for sure after missing two games with a knee injury. Alfonso Boone(knee), Legedu Naanee(foot), and Kevin Burnett(neck) are also questionable. Mike Scifres(groin), Quentin Jammer(toe), and Travis Johnson(groin) are probable and expected to play.
With the rest [...]

What I Want For Christmas
Happy Holidays everyone!!!
As I was writing the final draft of my Christmas list i realized that there were some things that I wanted the Chargers to give me:
Dear Chargers,
I have been a really good fan this year. I have not given up on you once this season, even when you were 2-3! I have watched every minute of every game. I have been repping my Chargers gear around my campus at college too. Here are some things that I want in return for being so good: I want all of you guys to stay healthy. For the past few seasons [...]
With the recent tragedy of the Bengals receiver Chris Henry, this weeks game is going to be emotional. Henry passed away a day after being admitted to the hospital after falling out of the bed of a truck. Reports have said that him and his fiancee were in a dispute. The full story is not known yet.
Henry was known for being a redemption player. Earlier in his career he was involved in many off-field problems, including 5 arrests and a few suspensions from playing. He was released in 2007 because of the problems he was having, but the Bengals resigned [...]
Power Rankings
ESPN released their Power Rankings on Tuesday morning for this past week and honestly, I’m offended. The Chargers are ranked 4th on the list, just as they were last week… and the week before… and also the week before that. Has ESPN been watching San Diego’s 9-game win streak?
Ever since they lost at home against to Broncos way back in October, they have seemed unstoppable. Yes it’s obvious that the Saints, Colts, and the Vikings records are better than that of the Chargers, but the Chargers are looking like a more complete team.
Passing:
Philip Rivers is nearly flawless over the past [...]
Securing the Second Seed
This week is a HUGE week for the Bolts in the standings. Right now they are listed as 2nd in the AFC, 4th in the league. With a win this weekend against the Bengals, and with a loss by the Broncos and the Patriots, The Chargers can clinch the No. 2 Seed and a first round bye.
Things are looking up for the Chargers as they head into this next week. They are currently on an 8 game winning streak for the season and a 16 game winning streak in December, which started in 2006. San Diego will be put to [...]
Another week and another win for the Chargers. The win goes down in the book as the 8th win in a row for the Bolts in December.
The Chargers prevailed 20-17 over the Cowboys. The win, along with the Bengals’ loss to the Vikings, puts the Chargers into second place in the AFC with a 10-3 record. This was the first time that the Chargers did not score 21 points or more this season.
The Offense
Through the weeks it is apparent that the Chargers offense it getting stronger and more confident with their ability to be a top contender in the NFL. [...]
