Sproles Gets Tagged

Chargers.com has reported speedy all-purpose running back Darren Sproles has been dubbed the teams 2009 Franchise Player.
Sproles can still chat with other teams, but if he signs elsewhere then the Bolts get draft pick consideration. And all things considered, working out a long-term deal will bode well for the team.
LaDainian Tomlinson is still the guy right now, but Sproles is the future. I think he needs to be in a semi-two back system. You need a ground & pounder to smash it in on goal line situations. And if Sproles is going to still be a factor on Special Teams, [...]

San Diego Makes Nice With Bolts

Plenty of law & order in Charger town these days.
Last week the law caught up to DT Jamal Williams and arrested him for suspicion of booze-baggery while driving. If only he had a six or seven figure contract, then maybe he could afford a taxi or car service.
Next up, the city of San Diego dismissed a lawsuit against the team for $170,000, sort of a rent tag for Qualcomm. This is good news for both sides still trying to work out a deal for a new stadium.
