Fins Bring Bolts Back Into A Funk
Are the Chargers struggling this bad or are the Dolphins that good?
When the offense sputters the Chargers will lose. This defense cannot bail them out. We know that. The onus is on Rivers and company. It’s a heavy burden, but it’s one realized until further notice.
I like the Dolphins balls-out approach to the last few games. The pedal is down, speakers up to 11, and they’re direct snapping their way up the power rankings. On paper their season is already a step-up, having doubled the previous win total. Although they’re statistically in last place, they’re two games out of first place.
Speaking of two games out of first… the Chargers are a tawdry 2-3 looking at a contest versus the Patriots, then over to Buffalo, then way over to England against the Saints before a bye week.
Last year at this time the Chargers were- wait for it- 2-3. The Bolts bounced back, pummeled the Broncos, and only lost two more games the rest of the way onto the AFC Championship Game.
But that was then. What about now? Don’t expect another tear like that. Won’t happen.
They have yet to beat a credible team and have pissed away chances at hauling in easy wins. The schedule doesn’t get much better from here.
L.T. called the Patriots game a must win. I agree.
I don’t know how the Bolts can put it together, and judging by reports and interviews coming out of Chargers HQ, they don’t know either.
Want to see a playoff game in Week 5? Tune in Sunday night.
