Disaster Watch: Merriman Knee Damage

The North County Times is reporting that Shawne Merriman has ligament damage in his left knee.

Merriman played in the preseason opener and hasn’t practiced since. He had surgery in the offseason.

Dr. James Andrews, surgeon to the athletic world, will evaluate Merriman’s knee. No word on whether he will be on the field week one.

Chargers fans, start holding your breath. Potential disaster is brewing.
