Madden ’08 is out? Oh, I had no idea. I just finished another season on my NEStopia emulator.
What, you may ask, is a NEStopia emulator?
Oh, just some software that enables you to play NES games on your mac/pc!
This system, which is free, is the best way to get your football video game fix if you don’t have the cheddar to cough up for a PS3, or the dedication to “gaming”. Check out the numbers I put up with Jeremy Shockey at WR in a game against the Saints.
If you played Tecmo Super Bowl when it was issued for the NES system back in the early ’90s, you’ll remember the dominance of such players as Barry Sanders, Bo Jackson, Christian Okoye and Lawrence Taylor–I used to be unbeatable with the Giants.
Well, there is a version out there that has the updated rosters of 28 NFL teams from the 2006 season. The 4 teams missing from the game are Detroit, Cleveland, San Fransisco and Houston.
Players like Vick, Tomlinson, Manning, Strahan, they’re all there! All for the playing.
Download the NEStopia emulator, find NFL 2006 (just google this stuff) and play away. It’s great fun, and much cheaper than Madden ’08.
So, don’t feel bad if you’re in the dark about Madden; download NEStopia to your office pc and begin dominating a season.
And don’t worry about a blinking power light, blowing on the game cartridge or finding the video adapter cable necessary for NES systems, it’s cartridge-free and cpu-powered!
