We’re still days from the start of training camp, so it’s time to talk all things non-football, yet football-related.

When the Chargers move into a new stadium, following the 2008 season, their options are Oceanside or Chula Vista. Currently, I live in North County, just a few minutes from Oceanside. Yet, I’m in opposition of the Oceanside stadium site. If the Chargers made their home all the way up here (upwards of an hour drive, depending on traffic on the 5), it would move the team too far from the heart of San Diego. Oceanside is closer to Orange County than downtown San Diego. Sure, this might recruit some new fans, maybe even more from LA, but an Oceanside stadium site is not a move for the fans, it’s a move for business.

LT won four ESPY’s! Male Athlete of the year, NFL player of the year and two other awards that they don’t seem to want to release. So what does this mean? Nothing. We want a Lombardi trophy, not an ESPY. I think LT agrees with me.
